View Full Version : Intoducing myself - Renee from Albury

Hello all, my name is Renee and I live in Albury NSW. I have purchased two 4WD's (projects) for my teenage sons. The first being a 1983 Subaru, for not so tricky camping spots and a 1981 SD33 Nissan Patrol (Diesel) for heavy duty towing and 'big boy' off road stuff.
My younger son has developed a keen interest in hunting in remote areas, so we're hoping the Nissan is able to be saved. Previous owner shortened the tailshaft to fit a 5 speed gearbox but ended up putting four speed back in and packed out the tailshaft to refit (Dodgy as!). He did include 5 spd in purchase tho.
There is some rust in the body as well........ so after I get my trusty mechanic to assess, we'll decide whether to sell off parts and buy a better one, or go ahead with the restoration.
I'd be very happy to hear from anyone with ideas and advice.
Glad to be here!
Cheers..... Renee

Hi and welcome to Nissans Nut House Renee. Have a look at the MQ/MK thread and you will find a lot bout your MQ SWB SD33 4spd 4WD there. Yes you have a few old Patrol fanatics on here. I happen to have tailshaft here for your MQ.
