Just wondering if anyone has used or got one of these....

Bluetooth to android app "Torque" or whatever if your an apple.
Having some boost/ EGT temp issues and might be a way to see what MAF and TPS is doing.
Thoughts....

That is not going to work on your truck as yours uses Nissan's proprietary Consult II diag port not OBDII. If yours was CrD model than yes it would work. Perhaps just get ECU Talk cable/interface (http://www.ecutalk.com/interface.aspx) and use a laptop with ECU Talk software (http://www.ecutalk.com/ecutalk.aspx) to see what is happening.
Cheers

Hi Adventurepaul, I managed to pick one of these up from a mate who bought one for his car that it didnt work on. I've tried it, it works. But thats as far as I've got with it. Being that I have a scan gauge, didnt bother playing with it more.

Anything specific you wanted to know about it?

Cheers, Teno.

Thanks teno45 and Dieselsmart, I guess for the cost the cheap obd2 would be great @$20 but @ $100 I will use both my fluke mulimeters at the same time.
The prob I have is boost dies to 3-5 psi from 10 and at same time egt shoots up to 450-500 while cruising 80-110 km/h. If i floor it boost will go to 15 (dawes setting) with same high egt. Ive blocked egr but was same before just a bit hotter egt. There is a sweet spot where egt is sub 250 and boost is 10psi steady at about 80k but doesnt last long. I guess im hoping to see if either tps or maf is not putting out full voltage range, before i just bypass the ecu controlled boost. Have 3" exhaust comming as well so will see.

Yeah, I've got both the cable and unit, one of the best things for early Patrols, yes pricey but worth it.(This thing already saved me engine as the useless Nissan temp gauge didn't even react when coolant temp hit 99° but I was able to see/observe it on ECU Talk and act appropriately early to avoid engine damage. It gives you access to all the engine sensors and with the ECU Talk software you've got logs of data available so you can check it and compare values later, of course added bonus is read and clear DTCs.
Cheers
