gday,been reading lots about blocking off egr valve on the 3ltr engines,but what about on the 4.2 tdi?? thanks

I have blocked and removed my egr gear. I have also rerouted the crankcase breather to atmosphere instead of back into the intake. Next step is to clean the intake manifold and replace the intercooler but all in all in runs much nicer now and better on fuel

It also runs cooler as well. The egr systems cools the exhaust gas going back into the intake with a small heat exchanger just above your oil filters. I certainly noticed a difference in running temps after removing the egr

Thanks for the replies,sorry for asking so many( possibly stupid ?)questions,never really had anything to do with diesels(can't really count the 2.4 d hilux I had in the early 90's).
