warn winch housing material

gday,lookiong at bracing the rear of my high mount,can anyone tell me what the housing is made from? cast aluminium, magnesium alloy??? thanks

Hi mate been looking at doing that to my warn low mount, does your highmount have the plates holding the spacer bars apart or do bars go straight to casing??

There's a mob in hiedelberg that have heaps of mods for the high mount or try Flaming fabrications, Warrens right up to speed as well

gotta weld 4 x brackets on to rear of housing the be able tho fit the bars like on a low mount.

spoke to an engineer down here,said i need to use 4043 filler rod.

I had to replace the side mounts on a Premiere , pretty sure they're magnesium - you'd think that they would all be using similar materials.
