Hi all,

I'm looking to do a run over to the caltex depot in dandenong in the next week or 2 to pick up a 20Litre drum of caltex delo 400. As this is the only place I have found that sells it in 20's around Melbourne was wondering if anyone wants me to grab an extra drum for them while I'm over there. I'm situated in sydenham area. The depot said they roughly sell for $100 give or take.

Cheers.
Mick.

It's always the way, when u stop looking for something you're sure to find it. Thanks to the link from Roofy, I found another stockist in Brooklyn which is much closer. I anyone was interested it's on the corner of old Geelong rd and McDonald rd. There is also a lot of other depot locations. Thanks for the help.

What do they charge ?

Hey Boots, that price of $90 cash is. Better than the $97.50 that both depots quoted me over the phone. Is that a recent price or do u have an account with them? Also any names to drop for a discount? Or even mention the forum?

Drew: They quoted me $97.50 over the phone, not sure if it will be cheaper for cash or if they run it through someone's account.

Hi Guys, been reading your thread, as i live in sunbury and have been going bonkers trying to find this snot anywhere closer than flamin dandenong!! The caltex place in brooklyn that was mentioned is apparently an unmanned fuel stop, so i doubt you will have any luck there. However, I did manage to find a good bunch of guys in nth williamstown (altona- really) Delo 400 mg $97, 20ltrs

Good thread guys, thanks Roofy for the link and Kiwi for the willy link. I'll be heading there for sure. I normally buy from Supercheap on their 20% off sales and buy 2x20lts but that is still better value

So is Caltex Delo 400 the oil to use. I’ve been using valvoline supper diesel. Been looking at changing to Caltex GTX Diesel. What’s your thoughts. Motor TD4.2T

I have been using GTX for a few years in both cars and bought it on special from super cheap when I can but I a assuming the Delo is heavy machinery grade oil targeted to the industry rather than domestics and I think will be a good choice. I have not ran it yet but it is a good price.

I’m thinking that as I’m in the country driving at 100km most of the time or in the dirt tracks. May be worth changing to Delo 400. Mmmmm

This is good :/ I just rang the big 4 in my area, Repco, Burson, Supercheap and Autobarn and none of them stock it. Bugger...Don't particularly want to drive far for it.

I just bought 2 x 5ltr of delo 400 at Hampton park caltex depot. was going to get 20 L. but where to store. ill empty my 5 litres. then ill refill them.

$66 for x2 5lt . $96 for 20l delo multigrade. I think even cheaper for cash!

Good price Limmy. I used it and went back to Castrol Magnatec Diesel. I found for my engine the Provent was oiling up a lot quicker using the Delo.
