Sorry guys this has probably been asked a million times but I'm having trouble using search on my phone.
Got a TB42E engine with 295xxx kms on it, what type of oil should I be using in this? No idea what has been used in the past but she's a bit overdue for a service so I wanna get it done his weekend.

EDIT: also need to know how much oil I'd need. Thinking Penrite 20W-60 would be alright?

Should have mentioned it's dual fuel if that makes a difference.

EDIT: also need to know how much oil I'd need. Thinking Penrite 20W-60 would be alright?

10.5 lt approx so long as it says suitable for gas should be ok

Just got home and had a look in the service manual and it says 8.2L? I've heard good things about Penrite, dunno about it being suitable for LPG though.

i might be wrong but with filters
it says 10.5 i only put 8.2l in my 3l

Yeah mine says 8.2L with filter, 7.7L without.

mmmmmto different service books then cant see tb42e in here got tb45e with 7.6 lts
ah well thems the breaks

Hey mate, never owned a petty myself but read a lot of posts swearing by Penrite as well...

Yeah sounds like it's the go, will just have to check if it's good for gas.

I run Penrite 20/60 LPG in mine and it runs sweet!
I have nearly 530,000 now and doesn't use oil between changes (10,000k's) filter at 20,000k's.
TB45 Dual Fuel.

Bought two bottle of HPR GAS (20W-60) and a Z170 filter. Will do the change on Saturday.
