4.2 turbo price

I have just replace my 4.2 turbo. I have the old one still. what are they worth. i was thinking about selling it to help cover the cost of the new turbo.

I just got my insurance renewal and was quoted an agreed value of about $24k (for a ute). I laughed and rang them up and nearly doubled that.

Just remember they don't make 4.2 TDI anymore. Supply V demand debate. I'll be interested and keeping an eye on this thread.

Yeah well the insurance company agreed that agatha was priceless and irreplaceable so we've agreed that gold bullion and diamonds are what she'll be replaced with heaven forbid anything happens to her

RACQ wouldn't insure the crushinator cause the accessories were worth more than one third of the car value, i luaghed when they said 5k for a diesel GQ.... wankers!

I think this thread has gone a little off course. The OP he has replaced the turbo on his patrol with either a new item or upgraded item and is wanting to sell the turbo he removed. ( thats how i read it anyway) I think new these turbos can retail at over 1500 so a used item you may get a few hundred for it.
