In this morning, and out this arvo!
They did the seals and throttle shaft. Drive shaft, cam thingy,O-rings etc, and recond the injectors.
Drove it home after the gym, in the dusk, and no visible smoke!!
Much smoother, and more power. Not that a GQ NEEDS more power! Just handy should I need to overtake a Veyron.
$1309. Well spent I feel.

Feel free to plug the workshop if you're happy with them.

Yeah happy I am . Advanced Diesel in Cairns. Told me $1293 and came to $1309. Was really expecting the old "Yeah a couple extras. $2000" scenario, so pleasantly surprised!! Would recommend them.

Is the fuel pump and injectors the most likely cause for black smoke? I've recond the injectors so will be looking at servicing the pump. How much should I be looking at for just that?

I think about $1000 for the pump. Maybe a bit less.
Mines not blowing ANY noticable smoke now. See it at dusk and in headlights ofcourse. Not during the day though.
8.8 kilometres to the litre:)
