Hi all,
I've just bought a 2003 Super Safari, and I have noticed that under braking conditions and just coming to a stop there seems to be a judder just as I stop.
The car has been jacked 2" and I'm wondering if it is something to do with that but I really don't know.
I wonder if any of you have had a similar experience and if so what caused it.

Sounds like the disc rotors need machining or deglazing and new pads.
Can you feel it through the brake pedal?
Is it a manual or auto?

Its auto.
It happens more severely under sharp braking, generally it hardly noticeable but now that I know its there I expect it every time

If it is an Auto it could be a bad change down into 1st if it is happening on the verge of stopping. A couple of guys were discussing that just the other day on here and it was happening to a 2010 model???

You likely to feel the brakes through the pedal first? is it in the pedal or the car?

As I read this ,mine used to do exactly as you explained , it was a warped rotor, it was not so bad that you could feel it in the pedal, but as the truck came near a dead stop it would shudder. a new set of rotors and pads and she is sweet as now :)
