Hi all,
I've just bought myself a 2003 Super Safari, as my wife tells me its old, but with a bit of loving it'll be great. I've always wanted on, since first visiting the middle east back in the 80's and with the cheap cheap petrol here I don't need to worry about the running costs.
Officially its only done 138,000 but suspect its done more than that but its been cared for by an enthusiast so whilst it may be showing signs of ware its in pretty good shape mechanically... I hope.
The owner before me used to be a marshal for off-roading events in Dubai and he had the suspension jacked by 2inches.
Being in Qatar there is plenty of sand to play in, and I'm looking forward to going down to the inland sea and other places.
I've never before done much of this before so I'm sure I have a lot to learn. Would appreciate any guidance, including web links that might be useful.
Cheers
