GU 8 Dual Batt

Could somebody with a late model CRD with dual Batts (using an ARB bracket) tell me what size second battery will fit and if the positive terminal is left or right hand side.
A local auto barn store has a sale at the moment and i was going to pick up another batt while they are on sale, but I dont have my second batt tray yet as its on order.

I would expect that you would fit an N70 size (300 I think) straight in? And the terminals are of no real consequence mate as its just more wire ;)

If they do a Yellow top Optima for a good price your on a winner but be aware you can get some great pricing on big Amp Hour batteries on eBay including optima. Do some research and don't buy just because. eBay is your freind.

get a battery that has the terminalsthe same as you have now then if the cranking battery dies you can swap it over

I fitted a battery the same as the main battery--works fine. I ran the earth to the engine block--convenient bolt there.

Dr Gary, may you please take a pic just exectly what part of the engine block you bolted the negative and kindly post it here?
