Hi all. Just wanting people opinion.
My Uncle recently sold his 80 series and bought another landcrab, only newer with more gear. (It's ok, he has 4" lift and 35" muddies and i still beat him up a couple of hills :bananarock: )
However he also has one of those big fancy double din touch screen stereo thingamyjigs that doubles as a GPS and also a reversing camera.
He has also realised that he is able to wire a second camera into this thing, and is thinking of placing it on a switch so he can turn it on/off at will, and mounting it underneath his truck (with protection) so that he can see both his front wheels and the track where he is immediately driving.
Now the problems I see with this idea (although it is a good idea) are as follows.
1. MUD!!! it wouldn't be hard to cover the lens of the camera in mud, effectivly creating a blur on the screen.
2. the image in these things is often squashed, so while he may be able to see large rocks/holes that he may fall into, they will not be clear how deep/ big they are, and it may be easier to pick a dodgy line.
welcoming any thought or input into this idea. Landcrab owners need all the help that they can get LMAO!
Cheers!
