Hi Guys,
Recently bought a 93 Maverick TB42S
Off the carby I've got 2 vac lines that run up to the firewall to this connector. On the other side is a vac line with a bolt in it!?
What is this and what should be connected to the other side?
cheers

That goes to the aac. It increases idle speed when the ac is turned on.

yours is automatic transmission?.
it ups the revs a little to stop the engine stalling when stopped in gear,
with air con running, engine could stall without this device
vacuum from a inlet manifold fitting, then to switch and onto aac as posted.
"a throttle nudger".
a manual transmission setup may/proberly not really need it that's why I asked.

That used to be an anti pollution trick from days gone by either that or stick small ss ball in it so it look OE

Nope its a manual. It is 100% for the air con. When I switch mine in its pushes up the throttle.

Now had a 2nd look at your switch, yeah it is connected, in out at the same end for the throttle nudger, ok all good.
so where does that vac line with a screw in it lead off too?.
Asked if auto as our Mav's is a manual and never had the switch installed x factory.
the wires are still tapped up out of the way.
it only labours about 70-100rpm off idle when air cons running any way in a manual.
My mates maverick auto tranny has it fitted x factory, go figure!!
