hmmmm?? not sure to be honest, if your swapping out your oil every 5000kms then surely it should not really be needed?
I run it in my HiMount ;)

If your servicing regularly at 5k intervals you shouldnt need it. If you looking at using it to stop oil consumption or try and make it run quieter etc you may have other issues. Is there a reason you would like to use it?

Have you tried setting them with the engine at tdc on each individual cylinder.
As some valves trains get older this can work as the load and movement or any play can vary according to the other open valves etc and different loads.

Yep,tried that, next plan is to set them with engine running.

Yeah i have stuck the feeler gauge in the gaps running at idle before to find the noisy one.

Also the valve train gear can wear and a feeler gauge wont get it correct so you could use a dial gauge on a mag base to set it. If its a 4.2 diesel its never gonna be real quiet. hope this helps.

Hummmm.
$25 a bottle x 2 per 5000k.
avg 20 000 k per yr.
$200 + oil.
Winters here and engines run cooler.
Heavy oil and cooler engine.
Hope oil doesn't start bypassing filter due to extra pressure.
