just watch those style of hoses ive used them before and they go hard after 6-9 months never had one break or crack but i didnt like how it had changed from plyable to hard as a rockso fast, i couldnt even squeeze it in at all.

thats why its best to use silocone hoses for there or oil resistant hoses

I did exactly the same that steel extension bar I bought a flat peg from bunnings cut and drilled
