Keyless entry remote reprogramming

Hi all,

I recently bought new keyless remote units from Nissan (bloody $300 for a pair!) but tried to reprogram them as per the Nissan Reference Document with no success.
I completed all the steps but the buttons were not doing anything on he new remotes.

Any thoughts? As Nissan loves to rip us off where I live (more so then anywhere else), I really want to do this myself.

I believe it is in there, all spelled out simply.

jesus $300's a bit steep and i bet they only come as pairs. for that you would think they could do it for you to say the least !

That was the first thing I tried, but it didn't work, that's why I'm asking around. It worked for you though, did it?

It was $300 for the pair, but I still find that expensive, and the bastards here charge for EVERYTHING!
