brake lights stay on

Hi everyone, I can't find a fault with the wires to my brake lights as they stay on when the setting on the electronic brake booster (for a trailer) are changed I will put the boosters make and brand on here later. Is this problem to do with wires or the booster?

More then likely a problem with your electric brake control unit.

You will need to check operation of the brake petal switch, from memory there is a piece of plastic/rubber that the switch pushes against in the rest position.

This plastic/rubber stop becomes brittle and causes the stop lights to come on.

If this is ok I would try disconnecting the electric brake unit and see how it goes.
