Found this over in Perth, bentley, at a car dealership, westside cars or something? I couldn't quite understand him on the phone.
Anybody over near that direction by any chance?
Cheers, Brendan.

Looks tidy..... But...... That engine shot is of a Petrol engine bud. That is not a TD42

Yeah i've done the maths anyway and its a bit out of my price range, no matter what :P 1675 to get it shipped to brisbane unregistered, + registration = bankruptcy :p
I'd rather not pay over 10 for one anyway.

I asked if they could do it for any cheaper, told them i'd pay them 9, told me i was unreasonable and that that's way too low for a 96 Nissan patrol. gotta love it.

I'll go and check it out on Monday during lunch............ it might be 2 years newer than mine it might have electric windows.......... but mines an auto and when I bought it it only had 189K on the clock,, I paid a touch under 7K.

If it was an aboslute minter and was a diesel then yeah may be I might pay 11-12k....................... but not for a petty

From the Piccys of the Interior it does have Leccy Windows......I paid 6K for my XLT Mav ( Petty)

If you are in Brisbane, try CarSales with QLD and Maverick's as well Yes I know it says FORD on it , but it really is a Patrol....Dark Sunnie's and a Hat and no-one will know its you driving it lol, there are a couple of "goodies" in and around Brisvegas

Have a Look at this one maybe...

I was originally looking for a diesel, few and far between and when one did come up it was rat sh@t............ folk were just taking the Mick with pricing as well.......... so bought a petrol instead, the right one came up at the right price and the monet y saved on the purchase price came in useful for other things. Admittedly I don't do a huge amount of k's, so im not too bothered about the fuel usage

I do a fair few ks, and I've only ever driven diesels haha. The only thing is, I've never driven a 2.8 or a 4.2, so I don't know anything about their performance. At the moment I drive a 2.4td rodeo which is pretty gutless.

Well haven't owned one but all here say the 2.8 is not as good as the turbo 4.2 diesel..( 2.8 owners please correct me if i'm wrong) I love the Petty tho, The Mighty Mav feels like it would drag an Aircraft Carrier thru a swamp..mind you it would need to drag a tanker full of unleaded as well...I'm learning to use the LPG only on the long hauls, around town I stick to the Petrol and am re-training my right foot to obey a light touch. If the chance came up I'd probably love to dump a TD4.2 with a decent Turbo setup in the current shell I've got :) Depends on ya wallet I guess.

I have a 95 GQ RD28T that I've owned for near on 10 years. I have travelled 3/4 of Australia in it, and done quite a bit of offroading (nothing too extreme) and it has been great. It really will depend on what you want to do with the vehicle as to whether you go for the 4.2. I haven't towed a caravan or anything so I can't really comment on that aspect. But my 2.8 has been really good for what I wanted. Runs well on the beach, goes great in the mud and the rough stuff(have even outgunned a couple of 4.2's in the bush :)) It's not a race car, but it's economical and I personally have done over 250k since I bought it with limited problems. If you maintain the engine and driveline, you should get some great km's and enjoyment out of it.
