Alrighty guys.
I have the gq patrol wagon with a 5 inch lift and 35 inch tyres and i am wondering if by installing a 2 inch body lift, the patrol will have too much body roll by off setting the center of gravity at all.
Anyone running the same set up with a 2 inch body lift?
Many thanks, Glen.

With a 5" lift why do you want a Body Lift?
Yes the Body Roll will increase.

i want a body lift to get the rear wheels away from the inner guard as they touch when out and about in the bush. also the car doesnt have any body roll at all.

A body lift won't fix that mate, it is caused by full flex and the inside edge of tread rubbing on the inner guard above the chassis rail.
The only fix is to replace the wheels with another set with a greater negative offset so they stick out further or extend the hump stops and limit the articulation.
A body lift will have zero effect on this problem sorry.

I have a 5inch lift and a 2" body lift on my GQ running 35 simex and it rubs in that location. Flexes like a beast possessed though ;)

I've got simex 35s too but only the body lift :)
Better offset wheels works for me , simples.

What offset ? i am looking for rims and tyres and would rather buy the right ones.
I was thinking of 315/75/16 tyres on the gq ti mags anyone tried them and had issues .

I'm running 16 x 8 1/2 " alloys but not sure what the offset is, I'll check it tomorrow though. I've got 35 simex on but they're only 10 1/2" wide so I guess p a bit more room up my slot than 315s lol
That said my old tyres were Khumo 305/75/16s and they didnt rub :)

Hey 97, your GQ alloys are a Positive 10 offset and will definitely rub. I'd be chasing a Neg 22 on a GQ and a Neg 6 to Neg 13 on a GU in a 16x8 Steel rim.

Its a radius arm which gets the front end of a patrol working much much better. The way it's designed it removes the binding effect that stops the front end from working and if your serious about off roading wheel travel etc these things are the go.

I doubt they're available on this side of the globe :/
Have you got a link to someone your neck of the woods who sells them?
Cheers , serious offroad wannabe :)
