Hi all,

i am coming up to my 100k service and was wondering if my 2007 GU 3.0l crd has a timing belt? if so i am guessing that it will need replacing? if so how big a job is it? also i am planning a long trip with the family in october and was wondering if it would be wise to replace the radiator hoses thermostat, drive belt as preventative maintenance?

any other info on the 100k service would be greatly appreciated.

kind regards

Mate, I have never owned a 4wd under 100k to know what service is required, if your doing a trip & you are replacing these things, buy 2 sets, get a genuine air & fuel filter, genuine belt & thermostat as well, spare set of everything including hoses, bearings, seals & take quality grease & a tube of gasket-goo, an assortment of bolts, nuts & washers, different tek screws & about 300-400mm of exhaust pipe cut down the middle on one side, a roll of tiewire, assorted electrical ties & a roll of electrical tape, all of this should have you back on the road barring major failures, dont forget the tools to do the work, I am sure someone would have a list of 'to take' gear but this will get you out of most issues you will encounter in the bush, a can of barsleak wouldnt hurt but only use it for total emergencies,
