GQ radiator compatibile with a MQ?

Tried searching the forums but came up blank, Radiator on the MQ is knackered and have been told there are no replacements in NZ. Is the GQ compatible without adjustment? MQ is the L28 which has the opposite inlet/outlet to the MK SD33T which I would of used as the MKs is in good nick.
Have also be told I should just get it re-cored, has anyone had that done and is that a viable option?

Short answer,NO....
Some GQs came with alloy cores, although good, the header tanks are plastic,thats not good

The MQ /MK have lower side mounting brackets, the GQ dont,not sure IF the two top mounting bolt centres are the same (ill check IF you want)
2 options,
Either recore
Or get the core from the best radiator and get the tanks for the engine you require fitted to it,buy the time that is done and the old core cleaned (rodded out) it mite not be much cheaper than a recore
Ring around a few radiator shops, see what deals and prices they can do

Thanks for that MQ, will go the recore option, tis a shame though that they're not compatible, would make life so much easier LOL
