Powering the Headunit in GQ, have both aerial and headunit adapters

Hi All,

I have a sony headunit and it fully connects into the GQ harness.

HOWEVER, I also have an aerial adapter although I Cant seem to get the headunit to turn on it gets power for a second like the cd players is running then turns off.

Does the original antenna with power plug into the antenna input of the headunit or is splicing required?
