2" body lift + 35" Simex muds, simples :)

Hi guys not been on for a while but have now got back into my Trol
So as I wanted to fit 35"s I bought a cheap body lift kit off fleabay. Designed for a Pajero but works a treat, 8 nylon spacers and 8 extra long nuts n bolts £43 inc post , sorry guys that's UK
All was very easy except the back two bolts , for some stupid reason Mr Nissan decided that the front 6 nuts and bolts were far too easy and made the last two captive nuts :1056:
Mine were not captive for long, cut the buggers out

Then welded up the resulting hole again

Got a bit of work to do now on a winch bumper but in the mean time here's a pedestrians last look at my lift :driving2:

As I said this was to make room for my sexy Simex 35"s 0n 16" x 8 1/2" alloys. I was running 31s then went 33s but just had to have some proper meat so here's a comparison shot

Looking good mate. yes the 2 back bolts are a bugger, no idea why Nissan decided to do that???? You can make the hole slightly bigger and fit a piece of square tube down there and it will hold the captured nut generally allowing you to undo it...... Or you can cut the floor and reweld it ;)

Cheers for that, I guess I should have asked first ;)
However now I have a problem with 4wd selector in low box. Cant get the bugger in anymore with the body lift. So is there a quick fix?
I'm about to go equipped with my best hammer for some modifications lol

Ha sorted it ;) Took the transfer lever out and heated it it up with Mr Oxy and his mate Cetalene soon gave way to a bit of bending forwards .
Then just a little cut into the tunnel surround and job done, loads of room now. While I was at it I did the gear lever too and to make my day I found about 3 quid in change under the center console , kerching lol
