knocked the 2 Inch body lift up today at school.
I wouldn't go with the body lift either, however the rear wheels do touch the body when out and about in the bush. Also am considering either an under body water/gas/fuel tank of some sort too, and want a little more clearence in that regards.

Yep at school still. This is my 3rd car.
Currently construction an over head console for the wagon. will go across the front of the windscreen. includes a map holser at each end and a fold down dvd player in the middle. pics coming soon.

Ok time for an update on the truck. Last time i posted i was building an over head console. built it and didnt like it so i have since made another that runs front to rear instead of left to right. also the body lift looked like work that i didnt have to create for myself.

Roof tent on and working well.

Now i am constructing a set of drawers for the rear. its designed so that the draw on the left can be opened with only the small barn door opened. this one will hold all recovery gear and tools/parts. the draw on the right is a bit different. it is much wider and has a sink and more storage spots within. hopefully if it turns out as planned it will also have a slide piece on top that will slide over the rear seats (once folded down) to sleep 2 people.

Should have some pics up tomorrow of the progress.

ok here is the rear drawers pretty well finished off now. pics are probably not the best but you get the idea. The small draw has tools and recoery gear, also can be opened with just the little barn door opened. the big draw has a built in sink with a 12 volt water pump plumbed in, also has more storage behins the sink and to the back of the draw. also has a board which sits on top of the sink to give a big table for the gas cooker and to prepare food annd stuff on.

i like the idea of having a 'camp kicthen' built in, and if anyone else does, feel free to take the ideas you like.

Man thats an awesome ride!! Good work!

Just out of interest, carpeting the drawers, did you do it yourself?

Glen 93 patrol
7th November 2012, 05:44 PM
thanks guys.

Yep all carpeted by myself. The carpet on the drawer fronts are glued on the front and pulled tight around the edge and stapeled off on the back. Drawer fronts then glued and screwed on from the back.

Thinking about an under body water tank now, for drinking and washing up ect. Read a few days ago about this, was just a piece of pvc pipe with end caps and tap fittings. might look into this further but does anyone have any other thoughts or have done a water tank?
