hi everyone hope someone can help have 1990 TB 42 S CARBY started missing at radom when this happens taco jumps over the place, have changed b/resistor & points has good leads & plugs dissy cap all looks ok. looking 2 change over to elec ignition but trying sort this out first is there a common wire or earth problem as the vechile gets older that any1 no about.
anyones help would be great need to go away 4 long week end but don't trust the old girl at the moment.

Did you change the condensor if not it can be a likely cause it will also cause premature points failure.
Also remove the noise supressor they are known to fail as well.
I have also seen kill switches connected to the tacho feed before behind the cluster might be worth checking could be some dodgy wiring .
