Forum goes white

Hi all,

I just got a pm from someone saying how the forum went white as you scroll down the page...I just saw this too and removed the QLD meet up time thing and it seems to be ok now..

Is everyone ok using the forum now, no massive white blank parts???

That's what I had AB when I sent you the text, I don't think it was the forum meetup countdown itself, but more a certain ad and the countdown combined.

When the screen whited out, the ad did not show and the countdown was displaying 2 the left hand side of screen.

Done it a few times for me but all came good again before you removed the countdown :)

Yeah mate it was 100% the top banner...It's now removed and awaiting the MateSpace guys to get back to me before it goes back up.

Must of been an error on display from their side.

AB, sometimes when I log on explorer (dont often however do when I want to buy something from EBAY) all i get is script like shite all down the left hand side, no pictures or anything. Bit hard to explain so just X out and open up firefox

haha, no probs mate, if it happens again though I would really appreciate it if you can somehow show me what happens.

When you see it, if you press the "Print Screen" button on your keyboard (should be on the far right top of your keyboard).

Then open up an email and paste or open up Paint and press Paste and save that file on your computer and email it to info@nissanpatrol.com.au.

Ok, I just put the banner back on and the QLD meet up back on as well and can't see any errors.

Last night when I first came on it was working fine with both adds and banners, then it would white out, then a few mins later would be ok again, then a few mins later it would white out again. My random guess as I have already said would be a certain ad and the QLD banner together.

Nah the Loveday one was at the top next to the forum logo. I cant do that now as this new logo is bigger.

Only limited by the size they give you unfortunately....All good, there will be a way...Just gotta find it...lol

Why not under the advert?, it will be a pain for admin / mods that have 2 have the ads regardless of forum sponsorship, but those that are forum sponsors and don't see the advert wouldn't see that much difference

Just leave it and then switch the forum off 1 week before for the members that are going to the meetup(with a message: get to QLD), that is one sure way to remember

The normal Comm Bank add works fine but when that blue one comes up saying "CAN'T" it stuffs things up but only under Whats New tab....

Ok, I need to run a test to show them the code of the site when this happens.

I have put the ad back up again. It will most likely happen tonight but if anyone experiences the problem can they please help me out and do the following...

When you see the white screen can you right click your mouse over the website (maybe in the white area) and then select "View Page Source".

It will bring up heaps of jargon code. Then right click again and select "Select All".....Then right click again and press "Copy".

Once you have copied the code can you please paste it in this thread or PM the codes to me please.

That will be a huge help if anyone can do that if they see the white screen...
