I had trouble with my fuel injector pump. It plain died. I replaced it with a second hand pump. Its goin again but its sluggish. Goin up hills on freeway it dies from 120 to 80-85 kph. By the way its an auto. I know, give me some stick. Anyways, the gearbox kicks bak, engine revs to 3000 rpm & thats all that happens. Motor seems governed & wont rev past 3G. Can someone enlighten me what may be the problem? Injectors?? MAF??. The beast was a bit sluggish prior to replacing the pump.

Have you bled the injector lines properly.
Does the pump travel fully open when the pedal is depressed.
Is anything interfering with the pump operation, hoses, cables, pipes etc.
Fuel filter been changed recently, a blocked filter will cause diesels to be sluggish.
