i wouldn't buy these things from ebay as you would probably pay more than you would if you bought it from a shop and also a local 4x4 specialist will be able to give more advice on set ups not to mention support if things break or fail, it is always easier to speak to someone face to face then it is to email back and forth. for example i bought my shocks for $120 each on ebay they were $160 also a i'm not sure if you are aware but with a 4" lift you also need to get adjustable panhards, extended brake lines, castor correction and thats just to name a few so talk to your local 4x4 shop ebay is not worth the gamble, cheers....

I have 2" OME in mine and they are fine for what I do. I had heavy duty rebuildable bilsteins with heavy duty EFS torsion bars all round on my BT50 and they were sweet. Go check out a few stores and speak to the guys as there is a lot of variation between brands and set ups ie - firm but soft, firm and hard, comp set ups, nitro vs standard, throw away vs rebuildable, load carrying vs touring and the list goes on

2 words. Suspension stuff, are well priced and are more than happy to point you in the right direction with regards to what spring rates shocks etc for what you plan on doing. It all varies between each person i have had dobinsons and now have kings both well built springs that i have never had an issue with also have tough dogs on the GQ and OME on the GU in the shock department and havent been able to fault either setups. How much gear you intend to travel with and have in the car when playing will ultimately play a part in what springs rates you get but as i said if you speak to someone like suspension stuff you will end up with a good outcome.

I had a BT50 with EFS torsion bars, really happy. Have been looking for a while to upgrade the Patrol suspension, finally decided on 2" EFS springs and shocks. Looked at all the brands on ebay and at the end of the day, cost including fitting is not much more through Torq4X4 at Browns Plains. I went with 100kg springs rear and airbags as I don't carry any weight during the week. I'll comment next week on how good it is, as fitting is Monday. No association with Torq, just really happy with service, they have a website.
