Hi everyone I'm new here and new to 4wdriving. I drive a 98 GU 4.5 duel fuel. smart bar 2.5 inch lift, snorkel, roof rack. i am running 33" bighorns.
i have owned it only 6 months. before that i had a 2009 ford ranger XLTwhich was my first 4wd. i got a real hunger for going off road in it but being stock it had its limits and i couldn't afford to upgrade it to where i wanted it.
So after doing some research into 4wd's and which vehicles were the best i arrived at wanting a Nissan. With its proven ability and durability combined with the fact that you could find some good late 90's models for a considerable bargain i ended up finding mine in Cranbourne.
It was a stock road runner when i found it but i have put (snorkel, roof rack, small lift, tires) on myself and future plans include uhf cb radio, steal winch bar, winch, long range tank, drawer system, amongst other things.
Hope to get amongst it in the bush but being new to 4wding i have no idea where to go ( or more where to go first) live in Victoria. Have joined this forum to get ideas and hopefully find some people to tag along with for camping trips.
