Hi All,
I have just bought a new 97 GQ patrol wagon, it has some good extras on it.
It needs a few things done like a new solenoid on the winch, Head unit and some touch up paint for the bonnet and rear right quater panel.
Any ideas on a simple to install head unit for the patrol would be appreciated!
Also any idea what paint this one is? (Dont have it in my hands yet and didnt check plates when I test drove it)
Cheers!

Welcome to the forum mate, that is one serious rear step you got there.
I would be removing that step if you want to take it offroad regularly.
Feel free to ask any questions mate and join in the conversations.
You might have to wait and check the numbers for exact colour if no one gets back to you.

welcome mate
good thing about the GQ's is that they are really easy to put a head unit it. 2 screw either side on the console and 4 screws under the top of the air con vent and from there its so so easy.
hope to see lots of action pics soon!

Thanks for the warm welcome and help everyone! I am getting some cut and polish and spray gear to touch up and get the pain shining, will also metal polish the rear step, no 'serious 4wding' with that on but will be one hell of a BACK OFF object around town!

Welcome aboard mate, don't think that step will be very good for your approach angles off road.
What was the vehicle used for before you purchased it to need industrial steps like that?

Yes this used to be a Telstra Vehicle back in the day, hence the rear step, I got some Autosol to polish it up, i think its a nice BACK OFF sticker... ;)
