Snorkel removal on a GU.

Thought I'd just ad another thing on my list to do before she's on the road permanently. I want to remove the snorkel on my GU I recently bought and get to the small amount of rust that I can see under the snorkel on the guard.
Am I correct in assuming the under side of the wheel arch needs to come out? I don't want to start pulling more things off my car if I don't need to.

yea to install the snorkel on danandtams car we had to remove it but you may get enough room once you remove the plastic guard from the liner in your wheel arch

Yep thanks. Just removed it. Now to sand back the rust spots and paint it up. There was about 3kg of mud stuck inside the flare when I took it off too :D

yea we found the same down near the mud flaps only it was wet sand would be great for rust .
