Hi all
My name is Russ and now living on Tamborine Mtn SE Qld
Spent 30 years west Queensland on the land and drove nothing but L/C's. (not sure how softly to say that!!)
Now have just purchased my first Nissan Patrol (2004 4.2l with 89,000klm on it)
Looking forward to another 400000 klm I hope.
Still have my old HJ60 with 293000klm which I purchased new in 1983, but the age of the truck worried me even though the klms not that high. Never been off road or beached so might have to do something about that now I have the new Nissan.
There's heaps of fine information on this site so am looking forward to a lot of great reading.

G'day Russ
Welcome to the forum and glad you could join us.
Mate, a bit of friendly advice.........sell or part out your troll and spend the money on mods on your new Nissan!!!! lol Just kidding - not. hahaha
Lots of Qlders on here that meet and wheel regularly. There's a Qld meet up in October for Forum members. Suss out the thread and make a decision.
Take care out there.

Hi Russ, I'm new too n originally from QLD, I'm hoping that the forum will give me heaps of helpful tips and maybe some updated manuals. The forum looks great with heaps of nice tricked out patrols. Already got some great ideas for my gu ute 4.2 intercooled turbo with diesel gas, coil spring and 3" exhaust. My old man has had just about every model of patrol built. No wonder I'm a fan.

Thanks for the reply Tim
I am lucky enough to work on the Mountain so only travel off for personal stuff now.
Might catch up with you one day and talk Nissan's (of course!)
Wife and I have Harleys and spend a good part of our spare time riding (rode around Australia last November via Mt Isa, Katherine, through the Kimberleys to Margaret River WA and then back home. A good trip, and we hope to do again one day, but next time it will be in the Nissan.
