Hey guys, got up today to see the patrol with a slow leak. What do guys reckon on getting a tyre tube to permanently fix it?

sounds like alot of stuffing around. Have you tried to find the leak with soapy water? Might just be a bit of junk stuck in the bead? I have never used tubes in my tires, depends if your doing some very serious off roading.

Yea I'm going to take the Tyre off tonight and see if I can find the leak. Yea I will be doing heavy off-roading. Going to lcmp in July.

Nah man. Plug it! In a heart beat. If you can find the puncture I would not even take it off the car. Really basic to fix

Plugs are permanent, and legal! As Long AS......... they are not used on sidewalls or more than 1in a hole. (Unless a stranded) then it should be replaced as soon as back in civilization.

Thanks guys.
The Tyre is going to the shop today. So it should be sorted by the sarvo.
Btw I don't have any plugs yet so that is why it is going to the shop. Also I could not find the hole

I bet THEY Plug it ;)
Go to ARB or Rays Tent City or Supercheap, or any auto shop and buy a Plug kit and keep it in the car. WINNER

So I got the Tyre back and the only thing wrong was mud in the bead that stopped it from sealing. :banghead:
All fix now though.

next time lay the tyre on the floor and hose it so all the bead has water pooling on it and you will see bubbles if it is the bead.
you can use a high lift jack or tyre bead breaker or just drive on the tyre makeing sure you dont hit the rim! (easy with 2 ppl as the tyre will want to slide some times) to pop the bead off then clean it out yourself shouldnt take any more then 20 mins. just make sure you remove the valve first also.
