Unfortunately the choice that we have on ebay is not large.

1. NGK
2. BOSCH
3. DENSO
4. E TECNO 1

Also I try to make a choice for my shorty.

A member has asked that I wang up a poll for this thread to get some feedback on members brands of plugs.

Feel free to add your brand to the poll at the top of the forum.

Also not all of sellers know about difference between glow plugs for cylinders 1 2 3 and 4 5 6.

Now I have Original plugs from Nissan but I thinking to change it to other brand.

That's only in the rd28 but a lot of people pis them off and fit td42 glow plugs

It is interesting!

And what is the profit of it?
Also, should I change plugs only or plugs + contact plate?

What is the difference between glow plugs for rd28 and td42?

In Kz the transport tax is calculating based on engine volume. So old Nissan Patrol with engine more than 4.0 is not so common here. (4000 cm3 tax - 230$, after 4001 cm3 tax start since 1000$)

As far as i can tell about $2 each is the difference.
Our registration (South Aust) is also based on engine size b ut also on the type of vehicle sedan ute (utility/pickup) panel van etc with commercial generally being more expensive, but have better returns at tax time

What is the technical difference between glow plugs for rd28 and td42?
Difference in price 2$ saying that they are the same.

I havent found a tech article on the glow plugs just different part numbers, so i would imagine there could be all sorts of differences ie. Thread depth, pitch and/or diameter.

Thinking back to "WTF is this thread".

Have you checked that you are getting power to the glow plugs?

If you had water inside the cab last month, there is a chance the glow plug control unit (RHS kick panel under fuse box) could be faulty.

Ohhhhh strewth ive gone and bought a set now hahahahhaha not to worry. But it is only over the last week that shes been getting a bit hard to start so i thought any water ingress issues would have already reared their ugly heads by now???? Or could something be corroding up now!! I better go have a sticky beak! Cheers mate

Usually they are swapped out when they have issues with the glow controller and set up on a switch if yours are working fine leave them it is a better system.
