Hi all

I'm thinking of getting a SWB Patrol for travelling and off-road fun. Hope I can find some advice from people with some experience.

Thanks

Malcolm

Hey mate
In my experience short wheel base vehicles in general can be excellent offroad vehicles however if your planning on travelling long distances short wheel base vehicles can be a bit rougher with regards to comfort just due to their shorter wheelbase.

Cheers Rob

Hey mate,
Great idea, I've got an 88 GQ short wheel base and its a wicked rig. If you want to get any sort of fuel range out of it make sure you get a diesel, even though there harder to find and probably a bit more expensive that is the one thing I regret about my car. But oh well it revs hard and is a lot of fun, one day i'll swap in a 4.2 turbo diesel :-)
