Gday there, Will here. Looking to glean some useful info and add where I can about my 1990 GQ. Keep or sell? Renew or sell and buy later model? Well after reading here and talking to enthusiasts I want to rejuvenate the beast. Starting with the drifting of to the left all the time. 3 steering alignments, a 2" kit plus alignment and new tyres plus alignment BUT it still drifts left. Not the road camber either. So if I may as a newbie be so bold to askfor help...any ideas?? I just read about "casters" and "caster correction"..any guidance greatly appreciatted. Cheers.

Potentially silly question (as I'm not certain a wheel alignment wouldn't 'correct' this anyway), however, is the chassis straight? i.e. has the rig ever been in an accident?? Chassis frame out of true could be a possible explanation??

Gday Will,
I used to have that problem but after all this time of fixing, replacing, adjusting etc..its gone! Bummer I cannot be exactly sure which part did really fix it. But at least we know it can be fix. Providing your chassis is straight though..as Mr. Big, Rig said ;)
Welcome aboard mate
Cheers,

Welcome aboard mate. Enjoy your stay. The GQ's are notorius for pulling slightly to the left, as mentioned earlier, get it to a 4wd specialist and have it shimmed up to fix the problem. Good luck with it!
