Ok my first big post.

How I ran the cable from the aux battery to the accessories panel (baintech) at the back.

I have a 20amp auto reset fuse in the engine bay and the panel has a 20amp circuit breaker built in. The cable ? Well a tad over engineered but lets say there's room for additions.

All up I suppose it took 3-4 hours and a few missed heartbeats taking panels off :D

So .....

This is where it came out from the firewall under (behind) the glove box

After 5 mins of jiggling ;) it's out ready to wire up the accessories panel. Just be careful pulling it through and make sure your new cable is not rubbing on any wires/looms as you pull it through.

Panel wired & fitted. Need to find a clip that fits but sits ok for now

As for the car porn (pic of paddy), dead bulk standard at the moment :frown:

This is the same way I ran mine in the GU.. I took all the rear internal panels off so your way looks a lot easier. Nice looking panel filler too. Nice work.

Well done mate. You can never have enough 12v points in the patrol. I have the older dial gauge style panel and it still works a treat. I connected mine panel with an anderson plug so I could remove it easier if I ever wanted to. The clip you need comes from the original panel that was there, just pop it out of the old one, but you might have to file the hole in the new panel slightly as I couldn't get my clip in, but it should be a snug fit as well. You might even get away with drilling a small hole at the top of the panel and screwing a small black self tapper into the plastic panel behind to hold it (or one in each top corner).

Cheers

Greg

I saw a similar panel for around $100 today plus about $100 for the 6b & s .

I've only ever used it for the engel and find the engel socket handy. Keeps it nice and neat so I like it (so does SWMBO)
