I saw a mob making dump pipes for the ZD30 without the cat in it. Would this see much benefit in performance for price? ($370 to buy, about). I know the legalities of this but who's ever going to check...

Hi Mudski

Not sure. Sorry mate not much hellp.
Maybe try tallking to an exhaust fitter or a turbo fitter they would have a better idea.
My patrol has a 3inch exhaust and a upgraded dump pipe that was fitted by previous owner with the stienbauer chip.
The performance is grate. Going to have the patrol dynoed in the next couple of weeks to see what sort of power it is producing but mainly to check on the boost spikes.
Depending on the results i will make my mind up on which NADS to do first.

Mudski i noticed in your profile you are en electrical inspector, what state are you in ?

jimmyz, I know i would see more from a complete exhaust but I'm trying to see if its worth the effort or not plus also saving a little cash too. I'm in Victoria too...

If you can get a whole system for $550 in 3" mandrel, why spend $370 on 40cm of pipe? Cat is optional extra. I could get all parts I needed to build whole system for about $440. I bought my 3" for about $550+ freight turbo back, no cat.
