Steering damper On gu3

Hi I'm trying to replace the steering damper on my gu3 and when I was taking it of I could get one end of but not the other I tried using the damper as a lever but still no bug, I cut the bolt to try to drill and punch it out but still no luck
Any ideas??

Can ya take a photo and put it up mate, the dampner should just have like u bolts to undo and itd drop off

Yea last one I did done that but this one hasn't I will in the morning

Finaly finshed after an expensive drill bit that will go through high tensile steel
