My names Mark and I have no problem with alcohol yet, By way of introduction I am the proud first owner of an 02 Patrol with zd 3.0 ( the red headed stepson of engines), and yes it's in the shop!, just recently it got the rattle at 165.000 ks....my mech is in the process of ripping the engine out and reckons it could be a big end or piston problem, did the call Nissan thing, swear I could hear'em laughing when I told them the age of the car, Lord knows I've looked after this rig (I love it, best car I've had), So I'm just another bloke with tale to tell.
Would like to hear from anyone with a success story about bringing these engines back to life with or without Nissans help.
Regards Mark.

Hi Mark,
Welcome to the forum, sorry to hear about the problems you are having.
Just ignore those GQ boys, they are just jealous.
I happen to know of a GU that had to pull a GQ out of a puddle last Wednesday week, Hey Ryan.;)
Cheers Rodney
