The Wife and I bought our first 4x4 on the weekend. It's a one owner 93 RX Diesel with only 220,000 on the clock. It's a bit rough on the inside, but the exterior and running gear all looks good. My Father is a diesel mechanic and has been maintaining the car for the last 10 or so years, so I take his word that it has a bullet proof drivetrain.

Needed something we could fit the little tacker in and be reliable and solid enough for touring, towing a camper trailer and some basic off roading.

I look forward to reading some of the information here and learning as much as I can along the way.

G'day Freak. I see you are on Eyre Peninsula. Got any fave spots for 4wding out there that you wanna share?

To be honest, I havn't done any 4wding in the local area. We always head North to the Flinders Ranges.

I'm not a keen fisherman or anything of the sorts, so I don't spend my holidays on the coast. Aside from the coastline, there's not a lot of places you really can do any 4wding on the Peninsula.
