HI everyone im just struggling to find a good site to buy genuine nissan parts from, im after an alternator for a 2008 3L CRD GU .... i got a quote from the mechanic of $1600 sounds like a rip off to me

Wow that's expensive!!! Why genuine?? The after market ones are good (still Bosch, Mitsubishi electrics, etc) are cheaper, and usually more amp output - I replaced my genuine one about 8 months ago with a 110amp and it's going strong ...

Good question ..... the mechanic call .. what did yours set you back ?
I have looked all over the net and i cant find anything close to $1600

Holy crap thats expensive. Should get a nice aftermarket one 110 or 120amp for $400 off ebay.

If you are after a genuine Nissan replacement one, send NIZZBITS on this forum a PM he should be able to get one delivered to you at a better price.

I just purchase an aftermarket one for my 3L Di from Ashdown Ingrams for $350, part number HXA070.

I do not know if this is the same alternator that is fitted to the CRD but I would think it would be.

You can also purchase these alternators from Repco and possibly also from Gary (NIZZBITS).

Yeah i got mine for $230 120amp output but have the benefits of being in the trade
