Hello again,
What could be the signs of a bad Catalytic converter? how to diagnose? and how bad could it be of affect to the car in both performance and engine parts.

what's it in?.
try giving it a bit of a tap/knock with you hand if it rattles it's 99.9% no good.
they can block up to.
if your going to replace it, metal cat is the go, not ceramic.
if system is/or going to be larger than stock, cat should be also up graded.
If yours faulty.
yes damage will follow.
performance drop yes.

drill it out, it’ll still look the part and only if they test you emissions will they know any better.
not legal but an option
I’ve herd about drilling a hole and pressure testing before and the cat that there should be only a certain amount of pressure but i can’t remember the details

X2 - they clog up over time - if that happens then the system is restricted an can cause more than just poor performance and over time can cause more serious issues.

In my opinion, all a cat does is restrict the flow of exhaust gas and hold unwanted heat around the turbo.

I don't have one. Commercial vehicle on LPG don't require them.
