Presently considering installing a dedicated w/separator. The unit from www.responsiveengineering.com.au (Water Watch) looks the part but at AUD600 is expensive. Has anyone fitted this unit? - if so would appreciate any comment. Also mentioned previously in this forum was 'Mr Funnel' product also described as pricey (RRP AUD157). If anyone is interested the genuine 'Mr Funnel' can be bought off www.amazon.com for AUD54.00c that includes shipping. I bought size F15, 12 to 15 galls/minute, delivery was 21-days.

I’ve fitted one. So far I haven’t picked up any water in the fuel to find out. 4x4 action has one fitted to one of their crew vehicles; there say that it has saved them more than once. They gave it a good rap.

AU$600 is a ridiculous price!!
I have one of these on my GQ and rate it very very highly. the filters are cheap and easy to come across. I have bought a bulk buy of them off ebay for $5 each ;)
check these out hiflo.com.au- fuel filtration (http://hiflo.com.au/fuel_filtration.cfm)

these look good but coogs may want the audible alarm that comes with the water watch system. yea $600 is alot but the seperator would fill fast if you had some realy filthy fuel so an audible alarm would tell you to empty it before it fills and gets in the lines again doin damage.dont know if i could part with 600 for one though.it is a small price to pay for the damage it could save though.

Thanks for that information. I think I can live with the price compered to repair costs and providing it works as well as advertised. Thanks

I like the audible alarm as I don't have much trust in dash warning lights. The cost is a bugger but if its as good as advertised I think I could tolerate it.
Will check it out further ..... Thank you

I made a T shap breacket out of 25mm steel angel. Between the engine and battery mine has a bracket next to the battery. I mounted the bracket to this. See photos. My truck started life with a ZD30, now it has the TD4.2T. So I don’t know if this bracket is in use with your motor. As you can see in the photos I made this long enough to fit relays ect.
I'm new to this hope the photos worked

Thanks to all replies. Been an unbelievable hectic start to 2013.
Did finally get the Water Watch .... No problems to date. There's a certain reassurance having a loud audible alarm.
Final cost fitted about $800. My view- expensive but good outback insurance ....... Thanks again to all!

You’ll get use to the alarm every time you start up. Mine is in the pillar pod. It’s loud. Should have put it under the dash.
