Hi guys I have had a lot of things on the go over the past few months
Haven,t had a lot of time to post anything, I just uploaded some photo's into an album,
I have had the old girl for just over 7months and what can I say?
I just love it to death!
My wife wanted me to buy something more modern But I stuck to my guns and got the old technology,
I just love the way it sticks on the road with the leaf spring front end,
I love the solid "I'm not a toy! I'm a truck!" feel.

I towed a 2.5 tonne boat from Tooradin to Port Albert in Victoria,
Around a 3 hour drive with some fairly steep hills,
She was faultless in this trip and just made me love her a little more.
Awhile ago my Mother-in-Law had a car accident,
She lives in Gosford on the central coast of NSW
I had to do a frantic run from the Mornington Peninsula to the central coast.
A trip of some 1100ks.
Topped up the oil and water and off we went.
Performed faultlessly!

The 4 speed gearbox is a gem.
In the whole trip I only ever had to change gears when I was either starting off or pulling up.
A week later I did the return run and once again nothing went wrong,
All this from a truck that has done over 475000k's

I also use her to tow a 6.5metre plate alloy charter boat around.
This slows her down a little (well maybe a lot),
But she is always sure footed and stable!
Slippery boat ramps are no problem.
Apart from the occasional highway trip and some boating,
She also doubles up as my every day work drive,
Carting me my dog and all my carpentry tools, and materials around.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I will never own anything other than a Nissan patrol again.
I just love it to death!
I tried to upload photo's but the technology eludes me!

Oh I forgot, I did have a problem with the auto hubs,
They trying to engage unasked,
Simple remedy,Removed the offending articles and no more problem!
I will be fitting a set of free wheeling hubs eventually,
For now low range 2 wheel drive does every thing I need.

By the look of the second photo - you have square head lights - means you have a MK patrol (MQ have round head lights)

What year
What Motor
Keep your eye open for a 5 speed box

If you have a deisil - then it should be a 12 volt system

I have the same model / same colour and started life as a l28 %speed. (its now got a rb30 motor)
