Having trouble with running on LPG and have been told I need a new converter and safety cut out.Quoted around $800 .Can anyone advise if this is reasonable.I am a registered gasfitter.Are they easy to fit myself??Would appreciate any thoughts.

I used a vacuum safety cutout new was only about $45 from memory was about 8 years ago last time i bought one though

Forgot to mention guys,I live in sunny Darwin,where every thing is double what you guys down south pay.Yeah,I'm pretty sure it's an Impco system.I converted the car just before I left Melbourne in 92.Lp 1 in Lillydale did the conversion.God I wish they had a branch up here.

Thanks for the welcome guys.Update on my LPG problem.LP GAS1 in Lillydale have sold me a safety cut out online and told me to try that first.They told me they doubt the converter is shot,so fingers crossed that will fix the problem.
