Well my gq td42 was getting hot under load up hills or when bogged in mud.
I had changed the thermostat to a genuine one wich made a huge improvement.
I put the fan on with the f facing the front previous owner had it on backwards.
But today i decided to mess with the clutch fan.
On start up the clutch fan should spin hard and roar for a while then eventually slow down.
I then slowly stopped the fan using a heavy set welding glove and hold it nothing happened i could hold it all day lol.
So i then decided what can it hurt hub is stuffed anyway and bent the coiled spring on the front anticlockwise and tried it nothing.
So i then tried it clockwise and now after grabbing the fan it takes 30 seconds or more then starts grabbing and when let go it roars and draws a heap of air through.
Hoping this fixes the problem once and for all atleast it should fix the temp rise when in the mud going nowhere.
Just have to take it out on the motorway now and check it solved that problem as well.
