Hi guys and gals,

I am presently not the owner of one of these fine vehicles but I am moving in this direction from a Toyota Surf. Okay, save the giggles for now......

I presently have an RB25/30 waiting for the right Patrol to fall into my lap, so I can enjoy the offroad scene instead of watching everyone else make their way up sand dunes, while I watch with envy.

My brother in law owns a GQ with a Chev conversion and although I like the thought of going that way, I have been in the Import vehicle scene for many years now and I'm very knowledgable with the RB series of engines, so I wish to remain within this genre.

When I find the right vehicle, I will be taking down detailed notes of the conversion to make things easier for the next guy who wishes to go the same way.

Anyway, enjoy!

ROFL, love your forum name...

One of the guys who used to spend a lot of time up at Wedge had done a similar conversion. Not exactly what you want for a rock crawler but man, down on the sand it used to go past us just under the speed of sound. He used to get to Wedge and 1/2 way back before we lost Lancelin in the rear view mirrors. That thing was ducks nuts on the beach

I tried to find some of the pics that were on our club website but no luck yet.

For a sand machine you will certainly kick a bit in the face of the V8's
