Hi All,

I am a newbie at this but I am stumped with my buggy. I have Patrol '88 petrol/Gas manual, I have just dropped the oil and done the filter and with it done my valve clearences, I set them at .40 does anybody know if that's right?? Now its got high revs while changing down gears and if ingauge clutch the revs drop to normal when speddo hits zero?? Sounds great otherwise but I have tried so many things, just wondering if anybody may have an idea or ever had this trouble before. Any help would be great as this is our many buggy and dont want to stuff it up.
Thanks for any info in advance:biggrin:

Might pay to check all vacuum hoses and plug in fittings.
Cheers, the ferret.

I did that but thanks anyway Ferret. Tried vac hose's, fuse's even to the clutch but I have found the problem and dont know how but disconnected the speddo cable and it run's like a bloody dream. Does anybody know why it would do that?? And how would I go about doing a new speedo cable??

I cannot for the life of me see the connection between the speedo cable & high revs? I have assumed they are a mechanical speedo not an electronic one
