Auto Temprature Tacho??

Hey there,
My names Jake,only new too this forum,looks great!!
Now i was just wondering if anyone has put a aftermarket temp gauge on a 4.8 auto?just curious as i think it will be a good/safe investment how ever not real keen on drilling,welding into the housing..
if anyone has any answer i would appreciate to hear them..

Gday Jake. Have a look at Wholesale Autos website. They do temp gauge kits for autos and specialise in patrol stuff. There's a bolt they remove and tap a thread into the middle of it then run a temp sensor out of it. The kits for the TB42 are around $140 not sure about the 4.5 litre.
